About Shipmunks
Written by David, a solo founder in Scotland who builds ContextBolt. Every post shows its working: a test, real data, or a template you can copy.
What you will find here
Answers to the questions founders type into Google, in five topics:
- SEO and AI search Get found on Google and in AI answers.
- Backend and stack Databases, auth, hosting and payments, picked for a team of one.
- AI agents and tools MCP servers, coding agents, and what they really cost.
- Growth UGC, Reddit, launches and the channels that work for one person.
- Money and ops MRR, churn, failed payments, and the admin nobody warns you about.
Two kinds of post. Guides are step-by-step how-tos with what you need before you start and numbered steps. Blog posts are comparisons, opinions and explainers.
How posts are made
Each post starts from a question founders actually search for, and carries something you can check: a real test, live data, a template or a calculator. Facts that change, like prices and limits, say when they were checked, and every post lists its sources.
AI tools help with the drafting. David checks every claim, number and link before a post goes live, and updates a post when the facts change.
Who owns this site
Shipmunks is made by the team behind ContextBolt. When a post mentions ContextBolt, it says so, and only where it genuinely helps. The Featured slot on the homepage is always labelled; today it carries our own product. A paid placement would be labelled as paid, and its links marked as sponsored.
